The collaboration between 90 Minds and the Meeting of the Minds (MOTM) conference highlights the Sage community’s collective strength. Notably, DSD introduced new enhancements at MOTM, catering to the significant demand for cash flow analysis and forecasting in Sage 100.
The DSD Cash Management enhancement provides users with essential tools for effective cash position management and informed financial decision-making. This tool is ideal for cash flow analysis, modeling, and reporting. DSD Team Highlights
Favorite Product Announcement was by Jon Reiter at DSD when he introduced and demoed the new Cash Management application for Sage 100. Top fun aspect was the Keynote from Scott Tillema called “Finding Success in Conflict Resolution”. Scott was a SWAT hostage negotiator trained by the FBI. Key take away was never to ask “why” since the other person will become defensive? Most decisions are based on emotion instead of logic so always ask questions like “what makes you feel that way”.
This was my 13th MOTM, and I’m proud to say I’m one of the three who’ve been to every single one since the first back in 2012 at DSD, starting from a cozy group of 17. It felt like a family reunion, with around 170 of us there – which seems to be our sweet spot, as the numbers have been steady, growing ever so slightly each year. One of the best parts of MOTM is always the people.
Getting to catch up face-to-face, share stories, and just enjoy each other’s company is irreplaceable. Spending time with the Sage development team was especially enlightening, giving us a peek into what’s on the horizon for Sage 100 and letting us voice our thoughts and ideas. It’s a fantastic way to feel like we’re directly contributing to the future of Sage 100.
This was the 13th MOTM (Meeting of the Minds) and Jim Woodhead is one of three people who have attended all thirteen. I heard MOTM described as a family reunion since so many of us have known each other for many years which makes this always a fun and relaxing conference. It is a very sharing community and being face to face adds even more benefit including being able to talk to and get questions answered by Sage and 3rd party Sage vendors.
Sage was well represented by their top Sage 100 personnel including Heather Dispain, Mike Ritchie, and John Nichols. They presented at many sessions including Sage 100 Road Ahead where we learned about what will be released for v2024 next month and what is planned for v2025, Sage Partner Cloud, Sage 100 Payroll Tips and Tricks, and Ask Sage Anything.
